Stephen has been performing magic since the age of nine, when he received a magic set for Christmas. He was also interested in drama and took part in many school productions. This interest extended out of school, by taking part in local amateur group shows. After leaving school he carried on with the amateur shows but found over the years, the demand for his magic shows was growing, and one by one he dropped out of the groups to concentrate on this side of show business. He won his first close up magic competition at The Chester Guild of Magicians when he was sixteen, repeating this success several times since and has never been less than third place.

In 1987 he took part in, and won, the Associate of The Magic Circle close up competition. This gained him full membership. He is also a full member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the International Magicians Society and the Chester Guild of Magicians, of which he is Secretary. Stephen is an accomplished children’s magician, performing his one hour show for ages three upwards. Whether it be a show at home or a hall, a school or playgroup, Stephen has an act to suit. For adults he has a half to three quarter hour cabaret/stage show which is light hearted with nothing blue, and close up table magic that will ‘blow your mind’.

He performs mainly around Cheshire, Merseyside and North Wales in private homes, halls, hotels and restaurants but does travel farther afield. He also works for a number of local entertainment agencies. In July 2002 he set up a company, ‘Magic Rabbit Productions Ltd’ with his wife Carol.
